In maths Year 2 played some amazing games and made our own signs

Blog: Year two week 4

This week we have had a great week filled with lots of learning.

In our English lessons this week we have been writing a retell of our book this term, Jack and the jelly beanstalk. We had some great pieces from the children, they worked really hard and used lots of the skills they have been taught so far in year two. Next week we will be writing our own instructions on how to grow a beanstalk.

For maths this week we have been looking at the signs greater than and less than and using them to compare numbers. We played some amazing games and made our own signs to use during the lessons. Next week we are going to ordering numbers from smallest to greatest.

On Friday, we celebrated European day of languages and had a brilliant time learning all about Lithuania and evening having ago at learning some Lithuanian. We painted Gedimino pilis, a famous castle in Vilnuis the capital of Lithuanian. Why not ask your child if they remember any Lithuanian or facts from the day?
