Last week in Year One, we built wooden houses, like those in London at the time of the Great Fire of London. It was a very tricky job and we encountered several challenges along the way! Everyone persevered brilliantly and we were all able to build our 3D models. We also added straw to the rooves to make them thatched houses.
During our Great Fire of London topic, we learnt that after the fire it became the law that all houses in London had to be built from bricks. This made them safer in case of a fire. Can you build a house from toy bricks during the half term break?
Have a brilliant rest, ready for lots more exciting learning in November!
