Year 2 enjoyed an Easter egg hunt outside where they have to search for clues and answer the questions

Year 2 Term 4 week 6

In English this week we planned and wrote a newspaper report about the beanstalk that grew in Jack’s garden. The children then edited their newspaper report to improve it.

In Maths we revised division as grouping and sharing and applied our skills to solve word problems.

This week in R.E. the children have been learning about Ramadan and what it means to Muslims. The children also learnt about Eid and how Muslims prepare for Eid-al-Fitur.

In computing the children have been using Purple Mash to retrieve and edit their work. The children also used Purple Mash to reply an e-mail from the Tooth Fairy.

The children ended the week by completing a range of Easter activities to celebrate their hard work and resilience this term on returning to school. The children had a fabulous end to the term. They completed an Easter egg hunt outside where they have to search for clues and answer the questions. On returning to their class they found the Easter Bunny had visited and left them chocolate. They also enjoyed making Easter nests and Eater bunnies where they used a picture of themselves as the face which looked very cute. They also used daffodils to do an observational drawing and they produced some fabulous drawings of daffodils. The children commented on how wonderful the day was.

We would like to tell the children how very proud we are of them this term. They have returned to school happy and enthusiastic and always ready to learn. Well done Year 2.

The Year 2 Team.
