Last week, we were focusing on writing instructions. To fit in with our history topic, we made a cup and ball toy. It was great fun trying to catch the ball in the cup. We then planned and wrote instructions for how to make the toy. It was important to remember to use the imperative verbs (bossy verbs).

To start the last week, we visited Lydiard House. We had a great time dressing up in Victorian clothes and exploring different artefacts of the time. After, we had the chance to play with some Victorian toys. We had previously looked at pictures of these in our History lessons so it was fantastic to see real-life examples of the toys. We also had the chance to explore the grounds. Walking through the trees, we completed a colour scavenger hunt. Some colours were difficult for this time of year. A visit to Lydiard Park would not be complete without a play in the park. Some of us were very brave climbing to the top of the spider's web. Thank you to our parent helpers and all those volunteered to help.

For our next term's hook day on Monday 30th October, please could you start collecting plastic bottle tops. Please bring them in on this day. Thank you
