This week in Reception we have started talking about space. We have been reading 'Look Up!' which has lots of interesting facts about space as well as a good story. We have made a story map and can retell the story with actions. This has led to lots of space exploration in our discovery time, where we have been making posters and drawing pictures of different planets. Our PE lesson this week has also been about space - being astronauts and aliens using different gymnastics movements.
We talked about how we see things at night, then completed an experiment with some glow in the dark stars. We put the stars in the box and couldn't see them. Then we shone a torch on them and they were glowing! (As the experiment was done in the dark it was quite difficult to get more photos than this!)
We are looking forward to more space exploration next week!
