Here at Grange Infants, we love to give our pupils a wide range of learning experiences. Earlier this month, we took our year 2 classes to the Natural History Museum.

Museums offer a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to learn about history and science in a new and creative way. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different areas. The highlights were the dinosaurs, mammals, birds, volcanoes, and lunch of course. By interacting with the different exhibits, year 2 were encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and draw their own conclusions.

Following the trip, we wrote a recount of everything that we saw. It is always important to let children reflect on their experiences as it helps them process all the information they have learned that day.

We really enjoyed taking the pupils on this trip and we hope that visiting the Natural History Museum has developed their love of learning.
