This week in Maths we have been amazed at how well the children have done with reading the time quarter to the hour and quarter past the hour on the analogue clock. The children then moved on to drawing the hands on analogue clocks to show quarter to the hour and quarter past. The children have been very keen to read the class clock to tell us when it's been quarter to and quarter past the hour. We also revisited reading the time o'clock and half past in our MOT sessions.
Next week we will move onto knowing and using the fact that there are 60 minutes in 1 hour. Please encourage the children to use the analogue clock at home to read the time. Have fun telling the time!
